Ben Korman

A native Israeli who moved to the United States in 1985 and has garnered a vast amount of experience in all aspects of real estate since then. Mr. Korman started his career managing three ground-up condominium developments in New York City.

In 1992, together with Meir Cohen, Mr. Korman created C&K Properties. Since inception, C&K Properties has owned and operated over five million square feet of office, residential, industrial and retail properties predominantly in New York City, but also in other major US central business districts. C&K continues to own over 3 million square feet of property.

Mr. Korman led the company’s development efforts, most notably in Midtown South, where the company’s investments predated the transformation of that neighborhood into NYC’s version of Silicon Valley.

Chief operating officer

James Derow

James Derow, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Lotus, has acquired, financed and operated over $4 billion of real estate as a principal over the past 20 years; the transactions have consisted of debt and equity investments throughout the capital structure and across product types including 17,000 multifamily units and 6 million square feet of office property. Mr. Derow possesses broad asset experience across commercial and residential property types as well as deep asset management, repositioning and restructuring experience.

Prior to Lotus, Mr. Derow was a Senior Principal at Square Mile Capital Management where he worked from 2007‐2014.
